About DPD

Dynamic Parcel Distribution,  more commonly known as DPD, is one of Europe's biggest courier agencies specializing in express mail deliveries. With an extensive on-ground network,  DPD deals in both domestic and international parcels in countries all around the world.

DPD was founded in Germany under the name Geopost, which was later rebranded to DPD in 2008. Geopost was owned by the international delivery network La Poste, managed by the French postal service. However, DPD traces its origins back to the parcel delivery service Courier Express operating in the UK in the 1970s. Courier Express was renamed Parceline in 1984. Geopost acquired Parceline and a series of other players in the parcel delivery market, namely, Exapaq, Pickup Services, Chronopost, and a portion of Seur Internacional.

It was only in 2015 that Seur Internacional, DPD, Chronopost, BRT, and Jadlog were brought under the umbrella of a single-parent organization called the DPDgroup. Soon enough, DPD became one of the fastest-growing express delivery networks providing courier services, express mail, and logistics. DPD now has a network of over 70,000 pickup points around the globe, completing more than 2 billion deliveries every year.

Using air express services for faster deliveries and quality customer service, DPD excels in providing a range of services ranging from international courier deliveries, express mail shipping services, and logistics services to domestic and international tracking. Its expertise lies in light-weight parcel delivery services for the courier, express, and parcel, commonly known as the CEP market dealing with items weighing less than 31.5 kgs. Additionally, DPD offers a customized myDPD dashboard for your business to collate all your shipments on a single page. Features like Predict and Follow my Parcel make the shipping experience enjoyable for your customer, giving them better and more accurate information about their orders.

One of the unique characteristics of the DPDgroup is its commitment to sustainability in the industry, which it aims to achieve by combining technological innovations with local knowledge to provide a seamless experience to both shipping services and buyers. DPD goes unchallenged in the voluntary carbon offset market in the courier, express, and parcel delivery sector. Clickpost has courier and tracking API integrations with DPD as well as DTDC, of which DPD is a major shareholder.
