About GLS Netherlands
GLS Netherlands is a part of “GLS Group,” which provides mail and parcel delivery services in several parts of Europe, Canada, and the United States. Overall, it ships to 41 countries worldwide. Founded in 1989, GLS Group has its headquarters in Oude Meer, Netherlands.
Focusing on GLS Netherlands alone, the company offers multiple shipping services for businesses and customers. If you’re a Netherlands-based eCommerce brand, then you can deliver products to your customers within 24 hours if they’re in the vicinity of Bedulux. For other regions in Europe, a package is fulfilled within 24-96 hours.
There are four main business shipping solutions provided here: Economy parcel, Business parcel, Euro business parcel, and Global business parcel. With Economy parcel, businesses can ship packages up to 32 kg and have them reach the final destination (in the Netherlands) within usually 24 hours. The Economy, Business, and Euro business services are similar for the most part, with differences in insurance and digital signature availability.
Global business parcel, on the other hand, allows businesses to ship worldwide to almost any country in the world. Countries such as the US, Japan, Hong Kong, or Singapore can have parcels shipped more quickly compared to other countries within a couple of days.
There’s also the option to ship large packages like freights in one or multiple pellets. You can further use the GLS portal to find the current status of your freight. If you need a package shipped urgently, you can capitalize on the GLS Express service that delivers a product before 5 PM of the following day nationwide.
Additionally, the company also provides a “Parcel Shop” service for businesses with smaller order volumes and individuals. Here, various pick-up points in GLS stores act as a “ParcelShop.” You can send parcels by finding a “Parcel Shop” near your location. Customers can also track their shipments using the tracking tool on the main website.
Using the “ShopReturnService,” you can send a parcel along with its return label if it ever needs to be returned. This return label can also be sent by email. You can return to your nearest GLS store and stick the return label on it. When you use the shipping API integration of ClickPost, you can leverage all the services mentioned above.
