About South African Post Office
Founded more than three decades ago, the South African Post Office is a state-owned company. It acts as the national postal service in the region of South Africa, with the only stakeholder being, of course, the government.

Smaller-sized items that are under 458 x 324 x 100mm in dimensions and weigh below 1 kilogram are labeled as an “Econoparcel.” You can insure each package at a fixed rate of 2% of the package’s declared value. The charge for this is capped at R5000 (equivalent to 22,000 INR approx).
Additionally, citizens of South Africa can benefit from Speed Service Couriers, an offshoot of the South African Post Office. You can easily facilitate deliveries overnight, within the same day, or on a Saturday. It’s optimal for people who need to send an emergency package. The same service can also be used to ship internationally to 200 countries.
Yet another facility here is shipping mail. You can select to deliver normal, fast, or fax mail, depending on your needs. For international mail, you can expect the recipient to have the mail within 4-5. There is a list of items that are prohibited from being sent via mail, such as plants, liquids, and narcotics.
Besides shipping, companies can also use a data cleaning service that helps them clear any miscellaneous addresses and/or pin codes in their records. There’s also the option to send money to another citizen within the region of South Africa and a few overseas nations.
For tracking a shipment, users can open the tracking tool on the main website, enter their order number, and get all the related information.
